Google Reconsideration Request?

OK bit of a different question here:
5 months ago, I mannually de-indexed a penalized site from Google. It was hit with the unnatural links penalty. Now I want to get it back in the index and am wondering if to do so, I need to file a reconsideration request for it or just point some link juice at it and wait for Google to follow the links? THX.

    File a reconsideration request.

    Explain that you've removed some nasty cretin of a bug in the site that pointed horid links at your site from some russian.ru xxx domain, you've sold your grandmother to make it the most awesome,and now safe site in the world and you beg for their forgiveness.

    Wait, if they say no, wait 14 days and do it again, and again, and again.

    Give up when you get bored of reading the automated responses sent by semi trained monkeys at some Google data cantre in the back end of beyond.

    However;

    With a bit of luck a small, 17year old Indian guy, or gal, with almost no experience of the internet will land a job at the Google mega centre near where he lives,they'll pay him a bowl of rice a day and bag of magic beans a month

    Because of that, the employee will be the one that passes your website because they either know no better or could give a toss.

    I think fixing the problem that caused the penalty is most likely the better course of action if the above fails.

    Just index it yourself. No need to contact Google (as if that's possible anyway, trust me, don't waste your time)

      Send the reconsideration

      BUT, make sure you tell them ALL or almost all ( there is a limit of caracteres ) steps you made

      This includes the links you had success on your removal, and the ones you didnt have success (tough, tried to remove).

      The more details, the better

    We have seen stories that people got finally results after send 5 reconsideration requests. Don't give up, remove as much as unnatural links you can and send the notice in again.

    I'd hoped it would bring a smile.

    The fact is also that as has been mentioned a couple of times, the process is not an exact science, but it does work.

    Just repeatedly file the request, put in that you made loads of changes to fix the malware you discovered or similar, make it seem like you do truly care.

    It will work in the end.
