Just got a mail from Adknowledge.. they claim Google is rolling out ad restrictions on October 15

Any truth to this or just scare tactics to get me to switch?

As I'm sure you've seen how Google is rolling out new ad-serving restrictions October 15th which are very likely to reduce the amount of revenue

I heard about this last month, all part of why I removed Adsense from my sites.

Then you are losing a lot of money. Adsense is the premiere ad network .. no other comes even close and I worked with all the "big" networks like IDG

IDG for example is horribly slow, CPM ok but ads take 9+ seconds - and in the end you will lose revenue

Stick to Adsense and you will be fine .. it worked for me and I bring in a lot more than most guys here

Funny, I am pretty sure I woke up this morning still retired and not having to work. It took me 14 days to replace the same income I was making from Adsense (100/day) with something else. That's the thing, if your site has traffic you can do a lot of things and not pin holed into just Adsense.

The change had nothing to do with money, I created some programs that run much faster and improve things for the user if they are run in an iframe. The Adsense team and I got into a discussion about this because in their view just having an iframe on the site made them think they had control over my site even if no ad was ever displayed in the iframe. I woke up the next morning and realized I was asking Google if it was okay to make my site better for my users. Doesn't that sound crazy? It did to me. So while enjoying my morning coffee I removed Adsense. Now it makes 3k a month and has only 30% of the ads I had on before...

Don't get me wrong, Adsense was great for taking my initial steps into IM. I learned a lot about website advertising, the key thing it taught me that if you have good traffic you can do many things.

In the end, my pride is worth more then their click
