I am looking for software that can tell me competition for organic listings and number of searches a month.
#search engine optimization #seo #software
  • Market samurai should do that or free account on adwords will do as well.
  • Use google keyword tool for CPC and traffic/searches.

Then either a rank tracking software or web app for the other.
  • Have a look at serpiq.com its a web based service that does that I use it over desktop apps because its pretty quick. Otherwise, use the adwords keyword tool as an indicator as what you will face in that keyword.
  • what is the name of the best software to build backlinks? and how to use it? thank you.

    • Thats a very broad question. The tool name depends on what you want to do. First identify what methods ( not tools) are used to build backlinks. These methods can be implemented manually & Tools. Tools only make things faster. If the tool is in the wrong hands it can do more damage than good to your site.
  • If you want a free solution, then use Google Adwords Keyword Tool for select keywords with a good number of exact searches and good CPC, then use Traffic Travis or SEO Quake to inspect the top 10 results for each keyword to get an idea of how tough it will be to beat them.
  • I find seo quake to be a good seo software but i suggest traffic travis because of what it offers. Traffic travis makes your on page optimization accessible, there is quick website overview and status, there is quick competition search, it helps to track search rankings and so on.
  • market samurai, seo nuke and seo quake are some of the good SEO softwares you can use.
  • use google keyword tool from adords.google.com..

  • 1. SEMrush
    2. Keywordspy
    3. Majesticseo
    4. Ahrefs
    5. LinkDiagnosis

    1. Google Keyword Tool [FREE]
    2. freekeywords.wordtracker.com [FREE]
  • I'm a newbie, please tell me, what is a good tool for making automated backlink , thanks

  • Hi Blitz20, I hope it's ok if I chip in on this conversation - full disclosure I work for Wordtracker.
I saw you chatting about organic competition and thought I could contribute a bit more information.
Firstly I think it's worth pointing out that organic competition is quite different to the competition figure in Google Adwords tool which gives an idea of the number of advertisers bidding on keywords. A phrase with low competition on Google Adwords could have very high organic competition, for example 'facebook'.

The Wordtracker Keyword tool offers 2 ways of looking at organic competition, firstly our unique competition metric which is based on In Anchor and Title (IAAT). IAAT looks at the number of web pages for which the keyword appears in both the title tag and the anchor text of a backlink, so it gives you an idea of the volume of serious competition.
The second is using the 'Live Competition' data which analyses more quantitative data such as inbound links, Alexa rank and ranking position to help you understand how strong these sites are and therefore how difficult it would be to beat them.
The Wordtracker tool gives you access to both Google search volume and Wordtracker search volume. Wordtracker's database will return up to 2000 keywords for any given seed word, providing very good access into the long tail of search, and can offer competition metrics on all the keywords you see in that database.

I hope this adds to the conversation.

  • IMO people are just trying to USE the right tools, the right way instead of trying technological masturbation on putting it on linux
