Promoting Clickbank products on Adwords - how to not get banned?

Hi folks,

I'm a Clickbank vendor and sell information products in a health niche.

I had my Adwords account banned some time ago for sending traffic to a squeeze page. I've set up a new site on a new host and done everything else to make sure my new site is as "clean" as possible, and have set up a new Adwords account. But I'm nervous about launching a new campaign for fear of getting my account banned again.

Is anyone currently promoting Clickbank products with Adwords? Can you let me know what kind of landing pages are permitted - ideally landing pages that incorporate an email opt-in form?

Thanks a lot,

Moe

  • I'm in the fitness niche and it's damn near impossible. There are a few fitness products still in adwords but I can't figure out how their sales pages don't get hit. Google isn't really clear except they say that you can't collect leads (they actually suggested that I give my visitors a phone numbers instead of collecting emails) and you can't make any claims.

Simple, don't sell CB directly on Adwords, move the traffic to a list then sell.

I doubt you'll consistently (If ever) get by with sending Adwords traffic directly to a CB squeeze page or CB checkout page.

    • They are pretty strict on even lead captures.

  • What you can do if you plan to use adwords is having the ads running for 1-2 days and then redirect your page to your landing page! Only if they manually review they will catch you then!

    • They don't manually review but they have a system that checks for numerous variables, this is according to my adwords rep.
  • I typically avoid adwords for any affiliate stuff.

    Instead, check out adcenter.

PS: Sure, you might be able to "trick" google, but eventually they'll ban you.

    They don't want you.

    Is it worth the hassle?

    • That's also a great option. I run both Adwords and Adcenter traffic. Adcenter has never given me any trouble, and their traffic is cheaper. The only drawback is less traffic.
  • That's interesting about a month ago I promoted a product I owned and directly linked to it without an affiliate link and I wasn't banned.

I was extremely curious if I was allowed to do it but I ran the campaign successfully for about a month before I shut it down
  • Thanks to everyone who responded.

jsmith2482, how do you send traffic to your squeeze pages?
