Into the 3rd week - any recovery stories?

Hi all,

Only a few sites of mine were hit a few weeks back and although I have tweaked them (removed keywords from H1 tags and titles as well as editing my copy etc), I haven't noticed much of a change in rankings.

I'm guessing that by now sites would have recovered if relevant changes had been made? Has anyone made any changes that have led to improved rankings?

Sadly nothing new yet , I'm trying 3 different methods on 3 different sites , the only positive movements I noticed were on one site which I didn't touched at all after those updates, few keywords jumped from no-where to page 3 but nothing really noticable.

I've also been adding new content for very low competition keywords and I've noticed two things:

    - the new content is taking AGES to be indexed in Google (it used to index content every day, sometimes within minutes of posting).

    - the low competition keywords are not ranking at all, weeks after the content was added to the site.

Diversification is more important now than ever. I lost a bunch of income after the Penguin update but luckily have other income to keep me going. The EMD update also took a toll on a couple sites of mine and i have yet to see any improvement.

IF it was hit by the EMD update. I don't think there is a way that content is going to make them come back. IF there is anything Google is targeting along with the EMD it would probably be anchor text.

    I suspect you're right.

Having said that, my first site was an EMD with backlinks using solely the anchor text (the keyword in my domain) yet it still stands untouched apart from a few inner pages that disappeared from rankings.
