Yeah you need to see what the competition is doing and replicate it and do even more then they are.

You may be able to post your keywords here and someone can do this for you with there copy of software.

you can get someone to keyword research for you, might cost a lil, or hey nothing >pm

for competition you want to look at the pages ranking in the top 10, what makes them rank - factors, age, pr, links to domain, links to page, diversitiy of domains linking, rank, anchors, indexed pages of the sites, etc

  • Here's a site that you can use for free right now to spy on your competitors' backlinks: Backlinks Checker Tool - Backlink Watch

Just go to the site, enter your competitor's website, and reveal many of their backlinks in a matter of minutes!

How can this tool help you? Use your imagination. If you see that the site that your competitor's backlink is placed on allows dofollow comments (the tool shows this), go make a comment on that same site using your keyword as the anchor text.

so i use the backlink watch tool but what about the other factors
age, pr, links to domain, links to page, diversitiy of domains linking, anchors, indexed pages of the sites, etc
or only matters the number of backlinks?

you can use ahrefs.com that will also give you great ideas on backlinks - if yousign up for free account you can do 15 searches a day free that can tell you more detail on anchors, and the site,
if you want to know more about the age of the domain - try freewho.com

and for PR search PR Checker in google , there is a good one .info cant remember the name

    • You can use Google's Keyword Tool to find the best keywords for your website. This program is free and offers detailed results about the search volume and competition of the keywords you are interested in. Once you find the most relevant search terms, optimize your pages and include these keywords in your titles, posts, and meta data.

Sorry but GAKT doesn't provide SEO competition data. The competition reported there is the Adwords competition (although that can be used as a metric to see how commercially valuable the keyword is).

Like the other posters said, you can use a bunch of tools like Ahrefs, SEO Spyglass, SEOMOZ, etc. to gauge the strength of the first page.

What you are looking at is mostly the number of linking domains, the average PR of linking pages and the on-page optimization of your competitors. You should also take into account that Google is now favoring bigger/better known sites more than ever, so consider Domain authority as well.

No sir not only these two things also checked the content quality of the top sites. Check how many pages they already indexed on Google and whats the quality of their content, how they written all of it.....Because after all of the update of Google content creates the differences. So for me the facts are :- 1.domain age 2. Site PR 3. Site On Page optimization 4. Backlink 5. Index pages 6. Content no and quality. Whatever i share is from my personal knowledge i dont know how much right or wrong it is. Just share it with you. If i wrong please forgive me. Thanks a lot.....

You can check the index page no using any tools like SEOQuake. And for On page you need to check it manually. Check the existence of keywords in URL, Title, Meta info and others. In this way you can find how strong of your competitors.

    To be honest with you,

You need to buy some tools, it will make the process much faster, and more reliable. I know you might be hard on cash, but it's an investment in your business.

Although here are some places you can look Majestic SEO(limited), Ahrefs (limited with free option), SEOQuake, or most likely your best option would be Long Tail Pro (since you can use the Moz API for free)

Think of your tools like this, you wouldn't be a carpenter without a hammer right? Same applies for SEO when it comes to tools.
