Hey guys. BIG News. If you haven't heard, Google just released their "disavow links tool" and it looks like it is finally going to KILL traditional seo link building and in some cases the businesses that provide link building services and other things. Crazy. Adapt accordingly. I strongly suggest you guys take a look at this post from Ed Dale's blog. Good luck!

      Focusing on giving value vs tricking the search engines is way easier, and it always has been IMHO.

      Right, I personally don't this as a bad thing at all. I just know there are people out there who will and probably need to know about this. It will allow for better more relevant content to get more attention across the board than it may have otherwise.

    Um, no.

    You can disavow links to YOUR SITE by logging into Google's webmaster tools and uploading a text file.

    So it can kill the links YOU built, if someone logs into your webmaster tools dashboard and kills them.

    Seriously, I don't even do this SEO crap and I understand it better than most of you people

      Honestly, the way I see it...it really doesn't affect too much...if anything it can help people.

      For example; I use a program, blast my link across 1,000 sites...it just so happens that I blasted it to some porn sites and I don't want backlinks to porn sites. So, I can now go into webmaster tools, and block those backlinks.

      Maybe I do not understand it completely since I'm still kind of new, but to me, this doesn't look like a bad thing.

    I think it is good since most of the links/comments are spam and if I was in Google's place then I would do the same and I will protect my business ! I have created links in the past and I ranked sites but lately I gave up on SEO and I think it is time to create something useful instead of creating a site that doesn't add any value to the internet and make money from the affiliate sales..

    Depending on Google/Articles marketing is the most worthless thing that anybody would do, you wont enjoy anything you do since you are always scared from the next update or you have to keep writing articles and post them on other sites just to get visitors.

    The visitors should come to your site because it offers something special to them not because you created links and outranked other sites..as I said I used to do it before but I gave up and now I have a whole new business model that I am implementing.

      Links are not just related to SEO, it's one of the main ranking factors of Google's Algo. If people can easily take down your links outside the webmaster console, Google would have a big problem.

      It's a nice link bate article from Ed, but nothing very scary about it.
