Use social to impact search results and connect your profiles
- SEO |
Social is where search engines are heading, especially Google.
So I took a few screenshots of places you could place your other social profiles inside of your current profiles/pages.
First off, let me note that I'll be using a live example of one of my own large fanbases (unrelated to internet marketing so I gain nothing from this).
Facebook Page
"Description/About/Website section."
You can add links without anchor text to your description/about/website sections inside of Facebook. There are also other places you can place links.
Twitter Page
"About/Website section."
You can add links without anchor text to your account settings.
YouTube Account
"Sidebar Links section."
You can add links with anchor text in the right sidebar of your channel.
Google+
"About - Website/Links section."
You can add a main website + multiple links with anchor text to your about page in Google+.
In my opinion, Google+ holds the most value here.
Especially for rankings in search. If you can grow a large fanbase in a niche, you can almost dominate it entirely, especially if you can work this into local niches.
Also you can add rel=author tags in addition to your Google+ profile, which will add an image next to your results.
Hope you enjoyed this share I spent a bit of time gathering all of the images, but it's just to point out how much the value behind Google+ really is.
And how the value of social profiles can benefit you.
P.S. Facebook and Twitter also impact results in Bing.com heavily in my research. Same goes with YouTube for Google searches.
