squidoo and hubs

hi

i have good content, i'd like to open hubs and lenses.

i have three seo questions:

1. are they still valuable for seo?

2. for seo, should i open them all under my account or each hub/lens from another account?

3. should i put a link to my money site on day one or let the hubs/lenses mature and only then add the link?
and if so, how long would you wait?

  • 1- Yes, both Squidoo and Hubpages are ranking and passing link juice quite nicely these days, so they still have SEO value.

    2- I'd use different accounts just in case they get shot down (so you don't lose all hubs/lenses at once).

    3- I normally don't wait to put my links. As long as the content is decent, I don't think links to your page will be a problem.

    2. Different accounts with maybe the exception of hubpages because without a certain author rank your links will be nofollow (it's worth getting dofollow for this one in spite of the value of nofollow links)

    • I agree with this. Hubpages and Squidoo are still good sites to create backlinks unlike article directories that have lost their value before. Well if you have good content you can include your links right away. Just don't put too many links though.

  • So what you all are suggesting is using squidoo as a buffer site or as the money site?

    I would never use it as a money site myself, it can be taken down or deleted and you have no say.

    As a buffer site tho yes they still work and rank well and pass link juice and I HIGHLY recommend it for serp improvements.

    • These two sites will help you get traffic and backlinks. As long as you add quality content that offers value to your readers, you will benefit from using this strategy.

    I own 5 squidoo lenses that all rank for there keywords. So in short, yes they work splendidly.

  • If you are working in the same Niche, a simple step, ezinearticles.com - One link to your main site and a link to Squiddo article - you get 2 links per article
