I am very new to adwords, I just took the training for the Engage Program and now creating my 1st campaign. So far I have the:

-Account
-Campaign
-Ad Group

I operate a local Wedding Photography & Videography company. So far my understanding is:

-Account - is my Adwords account
-Campaign - would be Wedding Photography and then I could create another campaign for Wedding Videography
-Ad Group - Ad Groups would fall under my Campaigns - Wedding Photography Campaign and a separate Wedding Videography Campaign

If I have the above incorrect, please let me know?

Here is where I get confused:

If I make 10 Ad Group under the campaign Wedding Photography, do all 10 Ad Groups search the same keyword? I would make all 10 Ad Groups with the same keywords but the ADS would all be different?

or can I create 10 Ad Groups under the campaign Wedding Photography all with different AD titles & descriptions that utilize different keywords.

I know this is probably simple but it is confusing me and would appreciate clarification.

Thanks!

      Hi 9999,

You want your ad to be written so that it is extremely relevant to the keyword search term. Since any ad in an ad group will be displayed for any and all keywords in that same ad group, you want to make sure that all keywords in a single ad group are nearly identical, so that the same "relevant" ad can be served for those keywords.

Here's a video that goes into some detail about how to structure your ad groups:

What your really trying to do in adwords is get the quality score for each add group as high as possible thus costing you less (CPC)

          Hi andydxgame,

Actually you want to get the Quality Score up for the individual keywords, not the ad groups. Organizing your account, particularly in how you group keywords in ad groups, is essential to getting good Quality Scores, but certainly not the only thing required for good QS. The primary component of Quality Scores is based on your individual keywords' relative CTR. Organizing ad groups in a way that allows you to write extremely relevant ads for the individual keywords within the ad group is paramount to achieving higher CTRs.
