I lost a PR6 link 2 days ago, how soon will Google start taking into account. Will I start declining in SERPs? I actually had multiple links from that site and am concerned that it might affect my PR and SERPs negatively.

Well it certainly won't help. You won't see any changes until Google crawls that site again though. And even after that it might be a few days.

Also depends how good the PR 6 link really was. Was it a real PR 6? Was it a faked PR 6? Were there hundreds of outbound links on the page already. That kind of stuff is going to have an impact.

I doubt you will see much if any drop it rankings friend. One link is never enough to determine your Rankings. Now pagerank you will probably drop in that if the questions Mike asked above are fake pr or whats happening.

Yeah, unless that one link happens to be an in-context link on a quality PR 6 site in a relevant niche and the page only has 8 other outbound links and you are targeting a keyword that is not all that competitive.

One link can make a huge difference.

If this was a bought link you found around here though, it probably won't make a bit of difference in your ranking.

If the circumstances were what you suggested above I also have a hard time believing it was a PURCHASED link. Most people who buy links end up buying spam links honestly and they don't do crap good or crap bad.

        To the OP.

I would forget about the link and just start building more new quality links (naked links work).

Honestly, your site could increase in ranking. It might not drop at all. I wouldn't worry so much about it.
