I can usually rank youtube videos on the 1st page of goggle fairly easy using fiverr gigs, doing social bookmarks, article directories and private blog network backlink gigs.

However I have a few very stubborn keywords which I cant seem to rank on the 1st page at all and they are all in 11th or 12th spot at the top of the 2nd page.

I've tried throwing lot's more backlinks at them but they still don't seem to budge.

Anyone know of a solution?

Have you tried building links to the sites that are linking to you? Create some web 2.0 sites, some wiki links and some forum marketing and see if that will help. Check out where the sites that are beating you are getting their links from too, might give you a few ideas!

    All the best

The fact that you are using gigs to build links may be the reason that you can't rank higher. A few high quality hand built links will beat a spam fest any day.

    Good luck

Here are the few steps you might consider following:
Step #1: Upload videos directly to YouTube
(you can be certain that Google will index your video if you upload it to YouTube)

Step #2: Embed the video onto your website
(By embedding videos onto your website it will help get the videos more views.)

Step #3: Embed videos on pages with text
(write an introduction to the video that goes before the embedded video; put the transcript on the page too)

Step #4: Create a video sitemap
(you need to submit your video to Google using a Video Sitemap found at their Webmaster Tools site)

Step #5: Focus on long tail keywords
(the title and search term needs to match your video title; the title influences the search rankings, as well as the description tag so make sure you fill those in as well.)

Step #6: Create a YouTube channel
(make sure you create a channel name that is related to your industry; you can even go as far as creating a channel name that has your keyword in it.)

Step #7: Build backlinks to your video
(there are many link-building tactics discussed in this forum; if you want to be lazy about your link building, you could use Fiverr)

Go to linklicious.me and sign up for a free account. ( not an affiliate , just a user) Add your backlinks into your account, done!

Ok, to explain: this website let's you add your backlinks and their service is concentrating on getting your backlinks crawled by google. The more crawled and indexed backlinks the higher your rankings.Normally it can take Google quite some time to check out all the links linking back to your site. This service speeds the whole process up.....hope that help you a bit.

  • If you are having difficulties improving your rank of your videos no matter how many backlinks you throw at them, then perhaps the problem is on-page rather than off-page.

Consider enhancing the on-page SEO of the videos you are having problems with by including the keywords or phrases you are trying to target in your Titles, Tags, and Descriptions and any other places you can.

Also, consider increasing the amount of search engine indexable content on your YouTube page by posting a long, related article to your keyword in your video description area.

Just a few suggestions for improving your YouTube on-page SEO.

You may do social media if link building is not enough for you. Also, fiverr gigs is recommendable to tier 2 links only not on your money site.

Videos are so easy to churn out and rank that I'd just move onto another keyword - rather than stress over one that isn't where I want it to be.
