Hello

Can someone explain why i am getting most of my traffic coming from another country (Turkey). My site is a .com and the server is located in US and i was hoping to score higher on google(.)com and not google(.)com/tr.

Is this out of my control? I am on the first page for a few keyword terms, but in Turkey. Any explanation would be great.

Is your content focussed towards Turkey?

If not, it may have to do with your link profile, i.e. if a lot of Turkish sites link to you Google may believe your site is more relevant to Turkish users than globally. LinkResearchTools have a neat product that breaks down your link profile by country (and many other metrics) that might help.

Shouldn't be a problem. If your traffic is good, I don't think it would cause any much problems. Give it more time and see. Try searching with /ncr and see where your rank is.

This might be possible that your website's link profile matched with some Turkish website and Google finds your website more relevant to Turkish users rather than USA. Don't bother about traffic, it will not harm your website; try to get links from your regional area to increase your SERP in the USA.
