GSA Search Engine Ranker Post-Penguin

Are tools like GSA SER still valuable post-Penguin? It seems that some very respected SEO folks in this forum are still using automated tools. What are the best setting for such automated tools that won't earn the ire of search engines. Are they strictly to route traffic to lower tiers of link wheels and link pyramids that point to money site or can a strategy be devised to point links directly to the money site. Any advice will be welcome

  • All I can say is that Google hates "auto" stuffs and everyone are saying that in the post penguine/panda update, Google is looking more on quality contents. These are contents that are optimized for the readers and not the search engines; contents with keywords related to the site.

    • GSA Search Engine Ranker is good (or great) tool among SEO tools. Anyhow, it's better to use the manual link building strategy. More over, automatically links will be deleted very quick by administrator or moderator.

GSA ? It works better than AMR?

    • AMR is just Article submission tool, but GSA support multi platforms like web2.0, wiki, article, directory, etc..

@OP: Every tool has advantages and disadvantages. Its up to you how you use them. I use this tool on my 2/3 tiers.

  • There are many great automation tools that can save a lot of time, especially something like SEO powersuite, which we use daily.

Other tools like Scrapebox, AMR, Senuke and Xrumer can be disastrous in the wrong hands. It's easy to get greedy with such tools, and these are almost sure to get your site penalized if you don't know what you're doing.

We have some reviews on our site of some good SEO tools that you might want to check out.
  • These tools are good for tier 2 and below links. But avoid using on wordpress.com sites since they've been banning sites like crazy when they detect incoming automated links, like Squidoo does.
  • Its always wise to use the such tools on your tier 1 or 2 sites for best results...

  • I think that automated tools are still useful BUT NOT for your money site. You can still automate your backlinking strategy but only use auto tools for your 2nd tier links. Still and like the other comments here, it is good to focus on good content marketing strategy, building links to high PR sites and do it manually.
  • Personally i do not prefer any automative link building tool because Google already announced that they will not prefer such type of tool which create automative link.
  • Sure they are great!

GSA still is and for many months will be, a great SEO tool. If you know how SEO works, and what to do with this tool... it will give you a lot of leverage.

Of course, don't think about blasting money site or T1s mindlessly without knowing what you are actually doing...

AS long as G is relying on links, link building automats will work (for people who know how to use it).

    So, read learn read learn...
  • automated tools can be useful for tier 2 links.. for tier 1 links you should consider manual link building..
