I was reading SEOmoz and there I saw and post and i was amazed to know that
we don't need to build back links on other sites. like
  1. forums
  2. blog
  3. directories
  4. web2.0 etc
it can be take more than more time for our site ranking.
there I read that we need to build relationship with other sites to make our traffic and our rank into Google fast.
is it correct?
if it is correct that Also describe that how to create relationship in other sites.

I want most updated answer forever.

    To answer your question - You don't need to BUILD back links. Google and SEOMoz encourage natural link building.

    That means having valuable information in your niche on your site. Connecting with other "like" sites and building a relationship with them that will lead to natural links.

    I have been working with several clients over the years doing exactly what SEOMoz and Google propose - natural back links occur naturally and are not built. Those sites jumped in the rankings after the algo changes over the past year as the links coming back to the sites were not built.

    Bottom line have a good product, a solid site and build it for the long term if you are truly in it for the long term. If you want a quick hit for a limited amount of time then build links that are not natural (or try to build them like they are natural) but don't expect to keep winning at that game. Google has hundreds on staff working to prevent sites using unnatural link building techniques to be on the first page of SERP's.

      I understand what you said but if my site is new and lo on PR and I want to build a mutual / natural link with Others who have high pr and I am not able to agree them then what should I do? I think we were talking here about link exchanges. !!

      should we submit our content to other sites
      should we want to suggest our business there
      should we need to write articles for them.
      or something else.

      yes I know Google has great team for spam controlling and I like it, and always update with Google.
      can we make our network for this type of relationship?

    You need links from webs 2.0, forums and everywhere to get link diversity.
  • You are right in some aspect but whatever back link you want to publish must be relevant to your category
