SEO for new site?

Hi Guys and gals
I recently posted an article about how i'm looking to pick an SEO provider here for my new site, well I am ready now to go ahead as my site is finished but I am going mad trying to figure who to go with, I really don't understand all this SEO stuff very well.
There's simply so many different options and I have no clue what I'm looking for. Please can someone who has used a service with a brand new site recommend a service for me, or does someone know of a good warrior SEO service.
