All pages have been indexed by google, but no traffic yet.

i am commenting on related blogs and doing forum posting.
How much does it take to get a ranking on google? i don't mean the first page, 3rd or 4th page will be good for some keywords.
I heard some people got thousands of visitors from google in the first month. Did i do anything wrong with this site?
I have a blog on blogger platform ranking -150K in alexa. So, i think i know basics of SEO.
