OK - I'll just toss it out there

Hi all -

Can someone with in the Firefox browser verify that I am seeing this correctly?

I installed a Firefox plug-in (I don't remember the name of it) that allows one to see the following values (for example) after googling:
SEOquake PR: 0 I: 588,000 L: 0 LD: 106913 I: 193,000 Rank: 2218 Age: November 14, 1996 whois sourceSitemap: yes Rank: 2593 Price: 1101087

When I do a google search on "sap hana", the results I get seem to indicate that it is still possible to wind up on the first page of google with little SEO effort.

That is what it looks like to me. I am new to all of this and just want to make sure I am not spinning my wheels when taking action/steps to try to get to the first page.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

TIA

  • Thanks for responding

    1. Is the higher the PR the more established the site
    2. As an example, I thought something like the entry below could be displaced because:
    => It is a blog
    => It has a PR of 0
    => It has no links
    => It has no age listed

    ~even though it's listing is #4

    Am I reading this right? If so, then would just creating some backlinks solve the problem to get to the first page?

    TIA

  • I just released a press release with the keywords being SAP HANA just to see where it would rank (gives me an idea of how competitive a niche is).

    The Best Sap Hana Industry News | PRLog (this is indexed in google already give it a look).

    It didn't rank in the first 10 pages. For the search term SAP HANA you have your work cut out for you. But if you start now, build quality articles and information and get relevant back links with a tiered linking system you should be ok!

    • Thanks for the information and also the reply

      Might I ask where you got the content for release and where did you release it?

      Do you think 5 - 7 good articles would work for me? How long do you think it would take for it to reach the #1 page slot?

      TIA
