Let's face it: unless their business model evolves, they don't stand a chance.

If they let their customers post unlimited content, it won't be long until these end up in the crapper with the rest of them.

Nothing new here, top SEOs have been building high quality, undetectable networks for years. That's why they can do things that most others can't like rank new sites rapidly with no "dance" or "sandbox", etc.

Agreed. Private networks are alive and well and I can see now that they will continue to be.

Even if Google spends time reverse engineering them, new ones will spring up like weeds, many built and powered by webmasters with little more than some spare time and a mischievous side.

Here's a thing: for your first year in IM, don't create a single commercial site.

Instead, roll out hundreds of non-commercial, useful sites across multiple niches on multiple IPs. This WILL cost you money, probably over 10,000 dollars.

But I can guarantee you that with this network, you'll rank extremely well for whatever commercial niche you decide to pursue later.

Buying links from link networks isn't going to cut it anymore. 2012 is when we create our own link networks.

What I saw was more along the lines of what old school link brokers used to do, however, the networks will be automated and no two clients will have the same footprint, so you can kiss reverse engineering goodbye.
