Automating some link stuff?

Ok so I was given advice on building links from scratch and it involves making hundreds of sites and stuff. I'm quickly getting in over my head with regards to being able to keep up with all the time I need to spend on it. Is there any way to automate some of this stuff? Without paying money for services, I mean. Like RSS and stuff? Or some ways people set their twitter accounts to auto post tweets? or auto post blog entries? I know people do this but I don't have any clue about how it's done. And I don't want to spam. I want to follow procedures that non-SEO people use to auto post wherever possible.

Just loggin in and out of these sites takes a load of time.

  • Look up some of MatthewWoodward's stuff like his "tools of the trade" and "ultimate guide to tiered link building." There is some excellent advice on automation there although you'll have to purchase some software.

    • What is the whole thing with "spun articles"? What are they really? How exactly does that work? It talks about them loads but doesn't really explain what they actually are.

  • I understood the first part of your explanation, thanks, so it's copying an article, but changing some words on it so it's unique, by way of using software to do it?

      Unique? Honestly no it not, the latest algo panda/penguin have ability to detect the spun content.

      Always use these kind of spun content for building backlinks to your teir 2/3 links. Do not point out link back directly to your money site.
  • I see. The tutorial I was directed to is basically requiring software costing over $400 all told. That's just a non-option for me. I have the ability to write my own stuff, just the volume of things these tutorials are saying I need is beyond what I can write in the time period they suggest doing it in. I mean hours in a day time not just time I want to spend or something.

    I'm convinced there is something about this that I'm missing.
  • I have one question--it keeps saying that getting a live URL for your backlinks can be hard, how can this be hard? Isn't the URL just where the page would be up in the address bar? That is very easy to get...at least in all my internet experience. Seems like internet 101 to me XD So that's one reason I get the sense I am missing something big about all this. The other reason I sense I'm missing something is that within the first 3 videos of this guide, I lose all understanding of what it's trying to explain. I hang on pretty well through part 1, part 2 I start to go huh? and I give up somewhere in part 3.

    On top of the software being a lot of money, I'm afraid that even if I did buy it I wouldn't know how to actually use it.

  • Yes, I've been watching those tutorials and trying to figure out how to work that from step 1. I realise quickly there is a lot I don't understand about this process.

      Good question, one that I have got asked a lot in the last couple of weeks.

      You'll be glad to know I've just completed a 1 hour long tutorial dedicated to spinning properly.

      Its rendering right now and will be available later/tomorrow

      You can actually keep the costs down if your resourceful.

      For example first of all spend time preparing all of the content you need for your campaign. Then you can use youtube to familiarize yourself with a bit of softare like SENuke XCR and use that to build out your tier 1 link profile taking the theory of what you have learnt with the tutorials and applying it with NukeXCR instead of Ultimate Demon.

      Once you have familiarized yourself with Nuke XCR and have the content ready at that point you can take out the completely free 14 day trial, build out your tier 1 and then cancel before you get billed.

      You can take a similar approach with GSA SER and Kontent Machine. Take out the KM trial, generate all the content you need, then take out the GSA trial and feed it all in.

      Just use your noggin a bit and it wont cost you a penny ^^

      Some software doesn't output the URL thats why

      Not knowing how to use the software is what the tutorials are for!

      The best way to learn is just by doing it ^^
  • I automate high pagerank backlinks but that is about it. For everything else I simply buy one time services as I need fit. Most of the time its not the low quality stuff that you need automated. That's cheap and easy for one time. Too much low quality does not help. It is better to automate the high pagerank links because those are the toughest to find and often the most time consuming.
