Site Not Indexed after a month?

Hello,
I was wondering if you guys possibly have any suggestions, or could shed some light on why my site hasn't been indexed yet?

I can't post the link on here b/c I don't have 15 posts yet, but the website is

www(dot)gundogsunlimited(dot)com

I've done almost everything that I've read to do, to ensure proper indexing. Here is a list of things I've done..... I've social bookmarked on about 20 - 30 popular sites, I've received about 20 new proper backlinks according to bings webmaster tools), I've added my site to google webmaster tools and verified it, I've created social media pages for the website,(facebook twitter... etc) I've registered, and posted useful information on forums. I've listed my business with the website address on many business directories, I've updated and added several new articles to the website, and pinged them. I've adhered to all googles website guidelines, all my links within my website are connected well, and I can't think of why I haven't been indexed yet. Last time I checked I have over 50 credible websites linking in.

I've also submitted a sitemap that google says that they processed, but it doesn't show anything under the issues or indexed section for sitemaps.

Most of the sections under webmaster tools simply say no data available.

If you guys could shed some light, or have any possible suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Chris

I think you should update your webpages on regular basis and you need quality content as well.

    This is interesting my friend.

Have you tried emailing Google about the issue or for a re-inclusion request? Perhaps before you bought the URL someone else had it and it was banned?

Cuz your site is very nicely put together with good content there is no logical reason I can see it should not be indexing.

I just pinged it myself and will check to see if it indexes from that.

The site may have been banned in a previous lifetime. The 'WayBack Machine' shows you aren't the only website owner.

      As I suspected.

You may want to consider a different URL and just 301 everything over to the new site then OP.

It's worth using the WayBack Machine before you register, even if the domain is currently not registered.

Almost every .com has been registered before, except for really crazy combinations of letters.

But this is an easy one to fix. Just do a re-inclusion request. Tell them you're a brand new owner and haven't spammed and they should get you indexed.

Good point. When you first install Wordpress they ask you this. If you aren't paying attention, it happens.

Also check your robots.txt and make sure there's no

      Code:
      User-Agent: *
      Disallow: /
Also make sure your pages don't have this:

      Code:
      <meta name="robots" content"noindex, nofollow">
All of this would stop indexing too.

Thanks for taking the time to offer some solutions,

I went ahead and checked the wayback machine as some of you suggested, and it turns out that the domain name in 2010 and 2011 had different chinese websites registered on it. I then checked several security websites to make sure that the name wasn't blacklisted, and the results showed that it isn't.

I then took the advice of writing google for a re-inclusion request, so I'll have to see if that helps....... but doesn't doesn't a re-inclusion request take months to process?

Also with the robots txt. I have this....

        User-agent: *
        Disallow: /wp-admin/
        Disallow: /wp-includes/

Thanks for the suggestions, I guess I'll just have to wait and see if a re-inclusion solves the problem..... or if there's any problem at all

The robots.txt is fine. I'm sure the reinclusion will clear things up. Let us know how it turns out.

Forget the reinclusion. That's a waste of time.

Get another domain, a brand new one. They are not
            hard to make up.

            Transfer the site over.

            That's the only way.

A reputable host will actually do everything for you with
            nominal cost.

Either that or just start over with a brand new site.

In other words, don't waste any more time if that's the site
            you want.

I understand what you some of you suggested with the 301 re-directs, and getting a new domain name, and then transferring the site itself, but the value of the site and company is the domain name. I've allready invested about 20k in the company, so changing the domain name from the company name isn't a solution that would work for me.

The thing that really troubles me is the fact that I can't exactly pinpoint why I haven't been indexed, and whether the problem is due to the previous sites under that domain name, or simply because I haven't waited long enough.

Sent a re-inclusion request, and that solved the problem. Google said that the previous owner of the website was listed as spam, and that's why I couldn't get indexed.
