Will this sudden rise in CTR get me banned from Adsense?

It's still legitimate traffic, but instead of my average 3% CTR it has raised to a 14% due to some new updates on one of my websites.

Is this still safe or should I revert back to my old design so I don't bring any red alarms up with Google?

The sudden spike is what you see now.

If that's showing an 8% CTR then Yes, I think it would raise a red flag, but I would think that there would be more in the adwords algo to define fraudulent clicks than that, but personally a daily CTR of 8% would worry me.

Will it get you banned... No

Can it cause a red flag that will have someone manually review your account and sites which could in turn get you banned for some other reason.. Yes

Stop buying useless traffic and you will have nothing to worry about

You guys who think Google are idiots and you can go about pulling the wool over their eyes with bought traffic will learn the hard way... no free lunches dudes! Google are much smarter then you and WF members no a thing or two as well

Learn, work hard and get creative with your marketing and you will actually start making money without any dodgy dealings!

To answer your question: continue buying traffic for clicks and YOU WILL BE BANNED!!!

To those who have no clue what I am talking about: the OP is buying traffic as a result of a WSO which I have been tracking which is completely high-risk and that is why his CTR has increased... it has nothing to do with a new site structure

If it is real, human traffic it's ok. Read up before you give an answer.

        I'm not buying clicks.

If the place you are buying traffic from can guarantee an action like a click or view or email sign-up then you have no idea what you are getting yourself into.... this is the exact type of traffic that Google frowns upon. But it is your Adsense account... do with it as you please!

You busy taking advice from 2 Adsense newbies who have no concern about you or your Adsense account!

Oh, I believe there has been a miscommunication. There is no guaranteed clicks by the service

I can't follow some of the replies in this thread. They make no
              sense to the OP's question.

Google tells you not to worry. You want an increase in clicks.
That's the point. Many factors at play, no red flags. I don't
know why people think it's a problem. Google would love
              a 100% CTR.

All you need is legit traffic. If you keep sending non buyers, then
you will be smart priced. A flood of mindless clicks is a problem.
Not a sudden increase in a legit CTR.

I have a generator site. What do you think my CTR is for the
last week? HUGE! And money increased exponentially...Today
that site is still my top earner...That sites gets well over a
75% CTR. The traffic and ads are spot on.

Seriously, why do you think google publishes a plethora of stuff
              on how to increase CTR?

If you don't make money, they don't make money. People seem
              to forget that.

Google = Draconian Law on LSD.

You never know what they'll find to be offensive.

I know people who have been banned for sneezing wrong, and others who blatantly promote affiliate offers / violate tos and make it okay.

I don't know what to think anymore.
