How to rank a keyword 1st page in google?

Hello Friends,
I had a website having haunted, thrilling and scary stories. Many of the users registered over here and shared their experiences for free.
With these theme, i use a keyword 'scary stories' that also belongs my domain..which ranks good in beginning but now its on tenth page..now i had a goal to take this keyword at first page at any cost. Please help me and tell me what should i do for this according to latest trends and panda updates. Remember only non paid techniques but quality must be good atleast.
