Full Time PPC Manager Position

Hello Everyone.

I'm considering hiring a full time ppc manager for my video production site, Discount High Definition Commercial Production and Video Production.

We're based in Los Angeles, but are thinking that an overseas ppc manager will be the way to go for cost savings. We offer productions (TV commercials, web videos, training videos etc.) using some of the best HD cameras and lenses, camera cranes, and million dollar sets in Hollywood, but at massive cost savings for our clients vs. the normal costs for video at this quality level. We make our clients look like the leading firms in their industries.

Google adwords does well for us, but we suspect that full time management would help us do considerably better.

Any thoughts about how to find a full time ppc manager overseas? Any thoughts about what we should expect to pay per hour? Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks!

  • Hi Tim,

I work as a freelancer PPC for agencies. I charge the agencies for 15-20 euros per hour and the agencies charge 50+ euros per hour.

Before hiring a PPC Manager I think that you should develop a new website. Your site looks like scam and I don't think that it will help you to convert the traffic to leads.

Also try to avoid India. I have seen campaigns from indian agencies and believe me that they produce the worst quality ever!!! Also try to avoid big agencies because they will rip you off. They charge a lot.

    • Thanks for the input!

What makes my site look like a scam?

    • Aren't you being judgmental ??
I am sorry to say to but i am finding it "The worst sales statement ever"
  • You probably don't need someone full-time. I'm sure I could run your campaign perfectly fine, part-time, for a $1,000 a month. I live in San Diego and can drive up to LA to talk more.

  • Def need website reworked!
  • Tim obviously wants to save money and why he mentioned hiring someone overseas. Most of us would think India when putting cheap and overseas in the same sentence.

Just because it's overseas, you'll still get a broad spectrum of cost per hour. From $1 to $30. You may find decent people under $10 but I'd be willing to bet not in most cases. You have to ask yourself if you're really getting value for that money. Best to stick to those charging $15 and up. I know of one in India charging a minimum $20 per hour. She knows the value of her service and she's good. That's the same range mentioned by decibelgr.

Also, as nkeuper said, you don't need someone full time, by which we figure you mean work on your campaign each day, all day. You can certainly find a PPC manager for $500 to $1k a month.

Some may think scam because quality video production normally doesn't cost $597. Doesn't make it a scam, just sounds unbelievable and that may actually make you lose potential clients. I think you should not say $597 but maybe mention that your services will not cost $50k as one might expect. I'd leave out the price, which I assume may be low end, get them to call for an estimate and give them your price based on their needs.
  • Taking a look at the CPC for the industry it's very difficult to see how you are doing alright if you are truly offering services for only $597. Agreed with the posters above.. Seems like it could be misleading.

However, I think the website layout and such is adequate. He would probably benefit more from campaign optimization. You don't need someone full time though, maybe just an audit.
