Google AdWords PPC Campaigns- Need Advice

I am working on Google Ad Words campaigns and I am having some trouble with reach and also gaining leads.

I am looking for insights into what the issue might be. Does anyone have any tips?

I currently have 3 main groups with 3 campaigns each. My keywords are exact matches. I also have an additional 2 campaigns with broad match keywords for those that make sense to be broad-match.

Do you recommend more campaigns that target more keywords within them? Or adding more groups? Any ideas as to what I can do?

Do you mean you have 3 campaigns - with 3 Adgroups in each one - resulting in 9 Adgroups total?

I personally don't use broad match, only exact and phrase.

You want each individual Adgroup to be as targeted as possible, so set up each Adgroup with keywords you can fit in that Adgroups ad copy. <--- And if this means setting up loads of similar Adgroups then so be it, it may take some time but it will be much more targeted!

I hope this makes sense haha

Hello there! Thanks for the suggestions.

To clarify this is what 1 of the Ad Groups looks like:

      For example:
      Campaign 1

      Digital Marketing Agency
      Receive 1 Month Free Service.
      October Only. Claim Today!
Digital Marketing Agency London - One2One Digital

      Digital Marketing Agency

      digital marketing agency
      [digital marketing agency]
      [digital marketing]
      digital marketing company
      digital marketing companies
      [marketing agency London]
      digital marketing agency london
      [digital marketing agency london]
      [digital marketing agencies]
      digital marketing agency uk
      [digital marketing agency uk]
      [london digital marketing agency]
      [digital marketing agency in london]
      [digital agency London]

      Campaign 2:

      Digital Marketing Company

      [digital marketing uk]
      digital marketing company
      [digital marketing solutions]
      [digital marketing london]
      [digital marketing in london]
      [digital marketing company]
      [digital marketing company uk]
      [digital marketing companies]
      [top digital marketing company]
      [top digital marketing agencies]
      [digital marketing company london]
      [digital marketing agencies london]
      [uk digital marketing company]

And so on, for next campaign "Digital Marketing Serivice"

Your account should be set out like the following...

Adgroup 2 - Digital Marketing Company

        [digital marketing uk]
        digital marketing company
        [digital marketing solutions]
        [digital marketing london]
        [digital marketing in london]

        [top digital marketing agencies]
        [digital marketing company london]
        [digital marketing agencies london]
        [uk digital marketing company]

And so on, for the next adgroup "Digital Marketing Serivice"
I would not use any broad keywords and only use exact and phrase, for example -

        "digital marketing agency"
        [digital marketing agency]

        e.c.t

Using the exact will catch keywords at a lower price while the phrase will give you targeted keywords you can download after you get a bit of data (at the very least 2 weeks). You can then pause the phrase keywords if and when they are not working.

Okay. So, would you advise against a purely exact-match keyword group for starters? I am thinking about trying that. I have very low CTR! :c

Would you also advise, or advise against creating an ad campaign with 1 exact match keyword? And I mean, that is the only keyword to show up for that ad.

My goal is conversions and higher CTR, if this helps.

No, go for it. They are your most targeted keywords, start with only exact-match keywords and after a while, you can expand with using phrase-match keywords to pull in more targeted keywords.

Your low CTR could be caused by using broad match, or where your adds positioned. Another reason could be bad ad copy.

If it has a lot of searches and is targeted, try it?

Also, that just got turned into a link via Warrior Forums. But the link is a landing page.

Would you also recommend NOT to add broad, exact, negative etc keywords within the same campaign, or do you think it would be okay to add within the same group where the keywords are the same?

I'm sorry but saying just look at traffic is bad advice... this is PPC, there is so much more to it than just traffic.

He needs to be looking at a lot of factors, not just to do with Adwords but how he has optimized his ads, landing page, opt-in rate e.c.t.

Just concerning your Adwords campaigns, you need to be looking at your impression and click through rate for a start.

Don't use the plain old broad match. Use the modified broad (+digital +marketing +agency) if only to find out how people tend to search for this. Maybe nobody searches on "digital marketing agency in london". In most niches, they would search on "digital marketing agency london" or "london digital marketing agency" but find out for sure and adjust your keywords.

    Use phrase match as well.

Split out your themes. I would not have London and UK keywords in same group. I would also do the same for company, agency and solutions keywords.

Low CTR (your QS will tell you this) are more likely a result of poor ads. CTR is highly position dependent, QS is not. So don't worry about the actual click rate number.

If that's an actual ad you use, I don't find it very inspiring. Why should I click on it? Just because you offer one month free? I need more than that. But what does your QS tell you? It's the real barometer of how well it's doing.

Finally, I hope you have more than just one ad. Try other versions and test against each other. Find out what makes people click.
