Consistent adding of content will help your blog traffic grow but it takes content, links, and creating buzz.

Some might believe that you could be looking at it the wrong way.

IT could be said that the only thing that matters in your list is number 1.

Define "blog";
A Web site on which an individual or group of users record opinions, information, etc. on a regular basis.

If you make "your" blog seem like an effort and that you are just doing it for money, then it will most likely just fade away as a lesson learned.
If you want to blog, then turn it into a passion that you want to talk and write about. Not just another task that you have to do...
Forget the numbers, forget the SEO, as that will come naturally through your conversations and ideas, and concentrate on your enthusiasm of your subject by getting involved and networking. Do that and you can put all of those other concerns away...

Maybe it is NOT required posting daily, but updating it frequently (at least 2-3 times per week is recommended)

Here is my order of priority

1. Content of the blog
2. Offpage SEO
3. Onpage SEO
4. Number of Posting at personal blog

THE CONTENT IS THE KING AND YOU SOULD ADD GOOD POSTS FREQUENTLY .THE VALUE IS THE IMPORTANT NOT THE NUMBER.

You can't call it a blog when you will not post regularly However, most of the cases your site will not ranked will and also it depends on the quality of the content you are posting as well as the link building.

My advice is make sure to update your BLOG regularly, do onpage properly and then link building.

Hey, no offense, but you probably shouldn't write an English language blog if English is your second language. If you're talking about the blog in your signature, i had a quck look at it and it's nonsensical. I wouldn't waste my time on it.

I post at least once a week and I still get a positive feedback from the readers. I believe that good content can attract viewers for your site.

If you dont have time to post daily then you should keep up updating so it looks fresh and Google will consider a freshness there to promote it.

Yes guys i also preffered that if we don't have time for content posting for our blog than atleast updating our blog on daily basis because i personaly think that content is King than Updating is Queen............

Putting up contents regularly is a good idea. The order should be contents first, on page optimization and off page optimization.

Post frequency depends mostly upon the niche. If you are in a niche like technology you are going to get many news to be posted at your blog daily and in other niches it may not matter much to post daily.

However posting regularly good amount of content will definitely gives a boost to your ranking as you will get most of long tail traffic due to Google love and get some advantage of frequent crawling which can index even the blog comments in an hours.
