Hi All,

I was hoping a few of you could rank the following by importance, to give me an idea on what I should be focusing on.

A) 10 posts in a single forum, with your link in the signature
B) 1 post in 10 different forums, with your link in the signature
C) Posting on a blog
D) Submitting your link to a free directory
E) Writing an article on Go Articles and linking to your site

Cheers

Jake

  • Honestly, they all look like they're on low on effort and equally low on value.

Focus most on your site. It's a nice looking site. You've got that going for you. Why should customers choose you for their plastic printing needs over the other guy. What makes you so special down under ?

And stop doing what you're doing with your signature. If you absolutely insist on linking to your site from WF, make it Plastic Printing or PlasticPrinting.com.au

  • 1) Posting on a blog

Doesn't matter how you rank the rest. They are all crap.

    • Assuming he's talking about actual blog posts and not referring to comment spam

  • Posting on a blog may be the most valuable one.
You should also keep in mind the forums, as they are valuable too. Especially forums, highly related to your niche. (Personal experience)

Avoid submitting links to free directories.
Post articles only if you got them for free and you have nothing else to do with them. Use them for Tier 1+ links.
  • You need crap. You need crappy links. No natural link profile does not have them.

The answer is all. Variety is the spice on top of Google bot's jerk chicken.

    • Lol ....wouldn't you like it if people *needed* crappy links. That's exactly what you sell.

  • I have yet to see a site that got penalized for too many good links and not enough bad links. When you find one, please let us know.
  • Well Mike beat me to it. I'll just add that sites ranking on natural links, don't have the same patterns that would be created when you buy one of your packages. Not even close.

And what the fux does Panda have to do with backlinks. What are Panda Safe backlinks ?
  • This has nothing to do with the quality of the links itself. It has to do with the FOOTPRINT.

There is really no such thing as good links/bad links. It's a misnomer. The value of the link itself has to be considered in the context of the entire link profile, the domain authority, the niche itself etc...

How was Google able to take down blog networks? Simple. Footprints. What I am claiming is this. If you leave a trail, big G will follow it if not sooner, later. To be smart about SEO you should vary your link profile. Simple as that.

The link profile has to be considered as a whole, as an entity. Low quality links and high quality links should be mixed together. You say you've never seen a site penalized for high quality links, show me a single site ranking high in SERPs with nothing but high quality links. You can't find one.

Panda has nothing to do with it actually, because restek it's made up. It's all a sham, don't order it please.

It's easy to attack my service, which you've never ordered and no nothing about instead of respond with anything meaningful.

Where do I claim that what I sell is supposed to resemble a natural linking pattern? Nowhere do I say this. I never claim to be an end all, be all.

Get off your high horse brother, it's okay to have a different opinion but show some respect for your fellow posters. This is a theme way too often in a community where we should be helping each other, we're allowed to have disparate opinions without attacking one others marketing tactics.

If you disagree with me, make your point and we can have a meaningful discussion hopefully to the advantage of the OP who deserves a good answer, instead you jump right into the ad hominem attack degrading the value of this thread.
  • 1. Guest Blogging rather than posting on blogs.

    2. One post in ten different niche related forums.

    3. Niche Directory Submissions or local directory submissions
  • Post on blogs which are relevant to your site's niche. Those thematic links will definitely help you in ranking your site.

  • Only one signature link from forum doesn't look natural. Google knows (!) you have put it there yourself and if you've only written one post with a signature link, this is the definition of spam. That's why I post on 3-5 niche forums regularly - it brings some traffic as well.

Posting on a blog, link in content is more valuable than any links in forum signature or comments.
