Everything is basically the same. Google just takes the thrash out. Make 10 good backlinks and then do one low-quality backlink, you'll eventually get penalized. Don't copy content from the internet and don't have spun content on your website. Having the same content twice or thrice in your whole website will be penalized sooner or later.

Just put more content 'above the fold' and don't spam your site with ads. For me everything is just the same, the only thing that has changed is how smart Google is. The quality guidelines have always been the same. However, what Google would allow hasn't been always up to that standard, but it's a trial-error process.

I don't necessarily agree with this. If it were true it would only take 1 bad link from a competitor to bring down your business. Google take into account your link profile as a balanced porfolio, this counters "negative SEO" efforts. In addition the disavow tool may help to counter negative links (although time will tell the true nature of the beast).

You're wrong - good content won't cut it alone in many niches now .

For me social signals are what you need to be focussing on. Becker at Source Wave has a really nice WSO about it .

I always look at what doesn't work as the best way to find what does and the only method that has weathered every storm is good content.

Having looked at the latest changes it appears that anything that is easy or quick doesn't work anymore.

Google is steadily, consistently and avidly moving and pushing towards quality content. Content is King. Content is king. content is king. Can't be said enough.

Invest in a good copywriter, if you're not one yourself (I did) and create great content to SEO.

Unique titles and descriptions on all targeted pages, good internal linking, and consistent backlinking.

IMO you can't go wrong with the basics.

Rinse and repeat.

Traditional link building still working but not that much. Most of the Quality link building now will cost you like guest blogging, reviews, quality web 2.0 link building, branding, social networking and etc.

You are wrong, traditional seo techniques like building contextual links are more effective now days, its new techniques which are based on tools to bookmark or to get a link blast suffers badly from google updates.

Do you think links on forum help with SEO much? How would people rank the value of links by the type of sites they come from including forums? directories? blogs? authority sites? It does seem that links from Facebook and Google + are indexed fast.

I don't think any difficulty is there in promoting the websites in the Google because if you follow the proper natural link building method, then one can promote the website very easily. Unique content is must in the websites.

The fastest way to build traffic and name recognition for your Website is to invest in a PPC campaign. If you want to create organic value then you have to compete with all the affiliates and major firms by publishing an archive of articles and/or a series of blog posts. You have to attract natural links to that content either way.

I have also experienced the same. Google is looking for only quality links not the quantity. So if you have good quality and unique content your keyword will rank higher in the search engine.

Google keeps on modifying its criteria and may be they had modified their algorithms during that short time. You should have examined your SERPS in this respect.

Everything is same but now Google presented the idea 21st panda update in Monday 5th November 2012 this can be legally reported from the Google. Google don’t wish to waste time the searcher. and also don't want spamming of our site now we can't do copy of content.
