Number 1 In Under An Hour!!!! Crazy SEO Results

Hi guys. I thought I would tell you about my crazy SEO experience I had today. For 3 keywords my site was #2 #7 #9. In under an hour they went to #1 #2 #1. I literally screamed with joy! I have never been so shocked or seen such fast results.

So my site has been going for a year, yet I never got around to putting a privacy policy and terms and conditions on it. I didnt think they were a huge deal and the site is a jokes site so not super serious. Today I put both on there and removed some no followed navigation links in the footer. (about 7 duplicate navigation links removed from footer) Most of the links in the footer were the same as the navigation in the menu bar. Upon doing these 2 steps it shot my site to the top. This all happened in under an hour of doing these changes!

So basically get yourselves a privacy policy, terms and conditions and only ever have 1 link to the same page, per page.

These simple steps could help your site a lot. As with most SEO I can't prove it was 100% these changes that got the results however I haven't done any backlink building for ages (I have been promoting the site and focusing on traffic instead) and there are no other reasons I can think of for such a huge SERP boosting.

Just thought I would share these tips as the warrior forum has helped me a lot. I hope I can help some people too.

  • I'm not sure if something like that happens literally in an hour. No effects can be reflected that fast in search engines.
  • Are keywords that you target are low competition so you can dominate them in 1 hour?

    • Well my pages are indexed almost instantly. As soon as I post a new page if I type the title into Google it can be seen. I create new pages daily and sometimes hourly. Google indexed the new terms and conditions and privacy policy pages almost instantly also. It is however agreeably odd that the search engines reflected these changes on the index page so quickly though. Maybe Google happened to be crawling the home page at the time of these changes? That's the only reason why I can think the changes were reflected so fast.

      The keywords are all difficult to get. I am directly competing with PR 3 - 4 sites and mine is only PR2 yet I have beat them all . It has taken me a year to do it though, today's SEO boost was the final push that got me to the top. I am trying not to get my hopes up about retaining the spot permanently. Google can be a cruel and fickle bitch. Got lots of SEO work to do now to ensure I stay #1.

    I think your website has already have authority, and so your website page get ranked number 1 so quickly I got a website also rank in under 15 minutes time for each SEO article.

  • I seriously think this has more to do with google, less to do with your site and NOTHING to do with your private page and such

    Just tested it on a couple of sites that didn't have any of those pages, not really cause I believed in it, but it can't hurt to try.

    Well 4 days later, zero changes in rankings. Tested on a PR3, PR4 and a PR6 site, so your sudden ranking increase has to do with other things then adding a few of these pages.

      Maybe because your not logged into your Google account while checking the SERPs.

  • IF SEOs were just SEOs and not people with lives and other reasons to live they would just kill themselves reading some posts

    and they would kill their families to spare them too from the torture.


    BUt thank God that there is more to life than SEO. Its spared the world from suicide by thread reading.

    • there is no information in this thread only misininformation. You do not rank in google or any search engine because you have a privacy policy. Thats total and absolute nonsense.

      The Op is

      A) logged in and getting personalized result or
      B) is getting a temporary QDF bounce from adding new content or
      C) removed some duplicate content or
      D) some other on page factor based on a drop dead weak serp.

      Adding a privacy policy is not a bad thing but its nonsense to claim every site needs to have one for ranking. IF you do some searches you will see TON LOADS of Wordpress sites ranking where there is no Privacy policy.

  • Have you also noticed a jump in traffics to your site or was it just a jump in ranking only?

    Look at google search result page. Have you noticed that the there are atleast 15
    duplicate links on that page from google?

    It's not problem if you have :
    - Your sitemap ready
    - Your content unique
    - Your Keyword low competition or no competition.
    even only in 5 minutes if you website is archived in google about 6 months and more.

  • Sounds really interesting. Yeah its true that it'll add some more authority to a website but never heard to happen to this. Anybody tried here.

    Once I ranked my page above the Google logo, I was getting too much traffic, kept crashing the server so I stopped.

  • I don't think so, SEO is not a magic to get ranked over hour. It can be a Google Dance effect.
