Question about website extensions for backlinks

I know this may sound like a question asked a lot or something that everyone just knows isn't an issue, but does the extension of a site (ie. .info .com .net etc. etc.) make a difference on the backlink juice?

Say you could buy a PR9 .info site, would the backlink coming from that site be comparable to a PR9 .com site?

The PR isn't really relevant in the question. It can be any PR, but does the extension make that PR less valuable?

  • The TLD makes no difference.

I hope you honestly don't believe you can buy a real PR 9 domain though.

  • No I was just using it as a filler, but thank you for the answer! I was really looking at prices of expiring domains and the .info sites were much cheaper.
  • I personally think dofollow (non-sitewide) links from .gov and .edu sites help a lot in rankings. These are not blog comments or guest books kind of links.

  • I think it doesn't matter! Because it's PR 9 site

    • There is no such thing as PR9 site. It refers to a page.

      - Just so you know.

  • TLD doesn't matter.
Personally, I care about only PR and domain authority
