Big Difference between Adsense and CJ/Amazon

About a year ago I "tested" out a commission
junction advertiser on one of my lesser sites. It didn't go well.

The site was a fair Adsense earner until it dropped
off into search engine oblivion--probably due to dodgy links.

Anyway, a while back I set up a feedburner
subscription thingy for the site after Yukon
made a post about Adsense for feeds (which has since been discontinued).

A few days ago I remembered the site
and checked the subs to find that they had blown up--over 7 thousand.

So I decided to make a couple posts...
each one about a different product linked via CJ.

Over the next few days I had a few hundred visits...
some pretty small Adsense earnings
and over a 1K in CJ commissions....lol.

The thing about CJ and amazon is...
you can get 200 clicks and earn nothing...
but that 201st click might end up dropping a grand at the store you link to.

Whilst adsense is slow and steady. Sometimes I think about
all the 50c clicks I give away and wander how much some of them might've spent at the places they landed.

    Moreover,

I just did some calculations and figured that
a CJ click is worth almost tripple what an adsense click is worth to me
    Amazon not so much...
