How to i USE my own blog network?

So, i see many threads about build your own blog network, I know how to do that (i hope). This question is more about how you use your blog networks . I have some questions I hope someone can answer:

- Do you have the domain it self (the one that have high PR) as a page and have your most importent links there (because of the link juice) or do you have a blog with a sticky post with the most importent links and the just blog post that roll of the homepage or just a regular blog and keep posting posts?

The second thing I wonder is if you build the blog network in a specific nisch like if you have an affiliate site in the Car nisch is your blog network also in the Car nisch?

I want to use my blog network to build links to several nisches but I don´t know if it will work out so well?

    To answer at all your questions you can build your own private blog network and divide every site in categories to satisfy all your niche needs. Themed backlinks are preferable but general links are still working like a charm.
    Make your posts roll on the strongest page (usually homepage) to gain the best effects.

    Hmm , you should examine linkaloha, ezarticlelink and other privet blog network system. And I cant remember completely but guess nohatseo.com explane your question. He do blog network with aged domain.
