WordPress Permalink /%postname%/ is not Good

Many suggest & use WordPress Permalink /%postname%/ to get better SEO results , but it is will affect your site performance,loading time & again it may negatively affect SEO efforts .

Some of the popular blogs like search engine watch uses

Example :

Do any one know how to put a permalink structure like one in search engine watch ,

  • Well I think only to go with the %postname% is not good for various reasons the most obvious one is you will need numbers if you are coming up with the same title again, especially as posts and pages cannot have the same name in this structure.

    for me it turned out to be most effective to go with %category% and %postname%
  • Why would you have the same titles anyway? Give the title a spin, change it a bit, add something like "Part II". I personally don't have any problems with that.

    If you're going to have the same title for two articles, how are your readers going to differentiate them?
  • Considering that people should be using a cache plugin, postname should work fine.

    Interestingly enough, the OP posted a link that contains year and month, which many will tell you has no SEO purpose.
