hi friends,
I going to buy new webhosting i am confused between Godaddy & Bluehost. I google about both, they made me confuse some says buy domain from Godaddy and hosting from bluehost
what is best please advise me
eREVIEWS Buy Store is on Godaddy and working good for me (blogger base basically).
before it I use local company hosting, where I got problems in indexing Google. because after purchasing above mentioned domain from godaddy indexed in Google in 72 hrs. while from local company it takes weeks

  • I definitely wouldn't host at GoDaddy but I do register domains through them. And I wouldn't host at BlueHost for shared hosting, I would go with HostGator instead.

    • you are satisfied with HostGator, specially about indexed in SE & Service

  • For hosting, hands down Hostgator. Bluehost is fine but never go with Godaddy for hosting.
  • I have never seen any issues for the below combination
Godaddy & Namecheap - Domain Names
    Hostgator - Hosting
  • Godaddy has been nothing but problems for me.

go with HostGator cheap and reliable.
  • you can try this one also, hvwebhost.com
  • I agree, hostgator are the best easily and their customer support is the best out of the lot with their convenient online chat support.
  • I am a big fan of hostgator , for diversity i have bluehost as well. No idea or experience with godady hosting.
  • hostgator is better than both of the sites you mentioned.
there are some other sites also you can get it one warriorforum for hosting
  • I prefer namecheap.com
  • Never host with Godaddy. Hostgator and bluehost are fine.

    • Bluehost. Only use Godaddy for cheap discounted domains.
  • For my opinion Godaddy hosting isn't bad, and I cannot understand why you don't like this so hard, for those who is interested in Godaddy hosting see this topic.

  • I prefer Godaddy only for registering domains and i never liked their hosting services. Bluehost is better than Godaddy but it not my favor one yet.
  • I would go with HostGator, they have great customer support you can live chat with a guy even at 4am if you need help. Recently they had a %50 off sale but I dont think its still going on.

    • Yeah that 50% off sale was for Cyber Monday and has ended.
  • I am also looking for a reliable web hosting. So I signed up for BlueHost a week ago. It's OK, but I've noticed that when I open a service ticket they reply in 24-hours. I am using SiteGround.com now for two years and they reply in seconds. I've tried godaddy and personally really disappointed. I keep my domains there, but hosting didn't work out for me. Every time if I need to install something I need to contact them, so they will install it for me. With SiteGround, BlueHost, AmericanHostLand.com you have control over everything... I really want to try HostGator. I'll probably cancel BlueHost and try HostGator. Another thing I didn't like about BlueHost that they've created custom error pages (400, 401, 403,404, 500) with their logo. So if the visitor hits the page that doesn't exist they'll know that you're hosting on BlueHost. Not a big of a deal - but it bothers me. BlueHost should pay me to advertise their error pages.
  • Yea.. I missed that 50% off as well on hostgator. But I've got this code for 25% if anybody need it. SPRING gives you only 20% off, but 25PERCENTALL gives you 25% off.
  • Bluehost in hosting . goddady in domain
  • Bluehost is way better at hosting than Godaddy. For domain purchasing, "Godaddy Auctions" can have some real gems if you know what you're doing...

    • definitely bluehost for hosting and godaddy for domain names.
Hostgator is also great with great support also.
  • I have several vps on several providers . My experience with them is like this in that particular order :

    1. hostgator ( the best by far)
    2. Site5.com
    3.Justhost.com
    4.Bluehost.com..

i hope this will help you decide.
  • In my opinion, Hostgator is the better.

    • Hostgator wasn't one of the choices... I'm not really understanding the love affair people have with Hostgator. They have the most popular affiliate program, and that's probably why everybody hears such good things.

I've tried about a dozen different hosting solutions, and I actually liked Bluehost the best. Although quite a few of them were very similar. Hostgator is right up there as well. But Bluehost is cheaper... so if you're on a budget...
  • I have tried both godaddy and hostgator. The problem with godaddy is that the sites go down every few months and once you open a ticket to inform them, they fix the problem in a few hours and then come back and say that "we cannot duplicate the problem you mentioned" instead of saying "sorry your sites were down and we have fixed the problem."

With Hostgator you get 24 hour chat and a quick fix to the problem but I have moved many sites from godaddy to Hostgator and ALWAYS loading speed on shared hosting is slower in Hostgator than Godaddy and Hostgator has the temerity to shut down the sites without advance notice that the particular site is consuming too many resources when the same site was running with the same exact configuration with no problem at godaddy.

I'm looking for a host who has 24 hour chat service and 360 day coverage like Hostgator but fast loading sites like in godaddy.
  • Thanks. Your comments are more supportive and informative.
  • I have used godaddy for years and only had one problem, otherwise they have been very good for me. But any shared hosting you must understand you get what you pay for.
  • Both network very much reliable and professional, I would say choose anyone.
  • Hostgator for me, their customer support is very good.

I have started a review of hostgator here Hostgator Review Is It Worth It ? | Hostman Saving

Will be adding alot more in the next few days.
  • Godaddy is Just crap...I got my hosting account cancelled

    • I wouldn't host with either of them. Try HostGator, they're cheap and reliable.
    • You're better off not being with them...but hope you got your site moved without issues.
  • I love Blue Host, and have never had any problems with them.

    • Bluehost over GoDaddy for sure, for hosting that is.
But I honestly wouldn't go with either one as HostGator
gets my vote every time. Never have had any issues with them
for the last 5 years and when I have needed technical support
for something that I have screwed up, they are available right
away and have fixed my issue very quickly.
  • Bluehost.com is an excellent host provider. I've never had any problems with them.
