Hey Gang,

Recently I've started to move a lot of my marketing into youtube and one of the things I've been trying to figure out is how to use those "Call To Action Overlays" where you can put small little ads on your videos that can drive traffic back to your website.

Here's my problem though...I have no freekin clue on how to set this up and all the tutorial videos I see online are all old and use youtube's old platform.

Does anyone know how to actually setup "call to action overlays" on youtube's new platform and if so can someone please explain to me exactly how to do it?

Your help and guidance would be GREATLY appreciated!

Regards,

I personally do not know how to do this myself.

All I know is that you can add your link for people to click on in the text box underneath your video.

People will click on it as long as you put your website link at the very top. Too many people just post a lot of text and then at the end, they add their link. That is not the way to get more clicks.

    • Yeah I want to learn how people add those little ads at the bottom of their videos that show up when people begin watching your video...

  • This is no "Call To Action Overlay" but an ad from Google.

Yeah man, thats an advert from Google. Youtube does not allow you to display your own ads like that.

I make money on youtube and they pay me to put those exact same ads on my videos. You have to become partnered to get that option to make income.

No you are wrong. Yes the google ads look like that but you can actually create your own advert for your video. A friend of mine created his own advert for a vid he did that promotes my site.

Yes but you are paying to have that listed, you cannot list an add for your own stuff on your video that is clickable.

        matchoo77 is absolutely correct.

You will need to create a youtube adwords account and then pause the campaign.

I'm not an expert on this - However, I do have a 4 minute video on my harddrive that explains.

Contact me and I'll be happy to send it to you.
