How to check that site is affected by EMD?

Hi,

I lost ranking for my 1 site in few keywords,

How I can check that my site is affected by penguin, panda or EMD?

Can any one help me to find the reason?

  • Well, if you use Google Webmaster Tools and Analytics, you'll surely know by looking at your stats. As for which of the 3 algorithms it is, that's for you to figure out. Look around on the forum, here are about a million threads on each update.
  • EMD update only affected low quality and spammy sites using long EMDs. Panda targets sites with poor on page factors. And penguin targets spammy backlink profile.
  • Check your analytics stats, if there is a SHARP decline somewhere around April...or a sharp drop in general (eg. within a day or two)...it's likely that some algorithm or "penalty" is the reason.
