Your website looks nice but it's hardly possible to read the article you are linking to, the letters on that image are waayyy too small...

Saw your site. I don't want to be too critical but using an image instead of content is BAD SEO!

YasirYar that is great advice, concentrate on creating an excellent visitor experience. If you think your content is dull, boring or not informative, then you need to improve it! Quality not volume... I hope this helps, if you have any questions I am glad to help....

I love how every year someone has a new list of stuff!

    It's very simple...year after year...

You need HIGH PR DO-FOLLOW backlinks with diverse anchor text that aren't spammed.

The rest is just icing on the cake.

I've ranked blank sites with just a header, duplicate content, and much more.

This exactly! It's all about quality, and not JUST quantity (though quantity matters too, to some extents). Write quality content, build quality backlinks and focus as much on quality as possible. Then if you can increase the quantity, given that you don't lower the quality, then go for it!

You need to split this into 2 questions: On-page SEO vs Off-page SEO. I'll answer both.

On-page SEO - the usual methods still work well. I haven't changed my blueprint in 2 years. (read the best practices in WF).

Off-page SEO - Google will spank you for spammy links - we all know that. Building the right links is still important. I think Social Signals will be huge in 2013. I have seen excellent results with Tweets/Likes to posts (both in terms of PR and traffic) and Web 2.0s like Tumblr. Google loves Tumblr and blogs are really easy to optimize.

    SEO hasn't changed for years...

    People just think it has...

You only need to build high Quality related links to your site such as :

    High page rank contextual links
    Guest posting links
Press releases (not to crappy free press release sites)
    Audio links
    Question and answer links

    Keep away from..

    Blog comments (spam ones)
    profile links
    forum profile links
    etc..

Not once i have i been hit by any so called update.

Blog comments work as long as they're not pointing directly at your site. I use them for Tier 3 links on personal sites but NEVER with my local clients.

We rank most of our clients pretty well with just 24 high quality blog posts, 10 web2.0s (where we use 2 unique articles in total) and a 25 video submission, those 35 links at public sites we then boost with 200 posts at our tier 2 private network (which is a bit spammy cause of spun content cause otherwise we could never post 200 times for the budget that we have to work with but that's why it's in tier 2).

And no we do not spam our tier 1 sites multiple times per day, just once every 2 days.

These few links in the first 2 months work out great, so again proof that it's not about quantity but QUALITY.

No idea how many PR n/a links someone would need to equal this lol.

People worry about SEO and Google's changes all the time.

The only one's who fret and see major changes to their traffic are those who have used methods which Google do not approve of. If you are pure white-hat going about your business guest posting, manual blog commenting, press releases, forum participation and above all else creating your own work and making sure it is of a high standard - not copying someone else or simply changing a few words about and passing it off as your own.

Google always does a little dance shaking things up now and again but if you are working lawfully and working to a high standard then these changes won't need such a drastic change to your strategy - they are trying to weed out the crap.
