Since I am aiming for quality visitors, and not just random surfers (although they are nice), I focus on organic SEO. This may not be the fastest, but it does pay off in the long run. I do use Yahoo groups however (not Google as I believe they are NoFollow) to get some initial traffic beyond my subscribers.

You need a domain name that gets a lot of searches per month eg more than 1000, and hasn't got a great deal of competition. Low competition in my book is anything up to 20,000, but that seems to differ. So choosing a long tail keyword for your domain is a great idea to get traffic.

Just by posting your links on different social networking sites....Different blogs and different forums so that maximum number of people can go for clicking on it...and aslo use a cachy content with ur link so that no can stop himself from going into that link!!!
