First Time Acquiring High PR Domains Using PR Powershot (?s)

Hey everyone,

I've got some questions about buying high PR domains. I'm about to buy PR Powershot (never used it, not sure how well it does the job) and have a few questions.

I want to create a mini high PR network of sites. I'm mainly testing something and it seems like PR Powershot helps with finding high PR domains easily.

For someone who has used PR Powershot in this task, can you tell me what are some pitfalls to avoid, even when using this software?

More ?s:

1. Should the domain name be related subject wise to the main site you're about to link to? (If it's a game site, should my high PR network domain names also contain game related terms? )

2. Does the PR for these domains drop frequently? Do you need to keep firing backlinks at your pR domains for them to retain the high PR?

3. Any hidden fees?

4. Link profile: so if I was to buy PR 2-4s, what is a good number of backlinks for each? I know it also comes down to quality of backlinking. I need a general guideline so I don't invest $50-$70 bucks and two weeks later, have nothing to show for it :/

5. Any other concerns?

    I bought PR Powershot when it came out to try it.

    It is the single worst tool I have found for uncovering high PR domains worth buying.

        Yeah but the alternative is to export all back links in Ahrefs, then run it through Scrapebox and then check if the back links are still a live and have to make sure they are dofollow.

        Not sure but I think I heard that Spyglass has some scheduler to run it over night for multiple domains

            Mike, is there a way to schedule in SpyGlass where you just add a list of domains you want to analyze? The way I've been doing it is creating a project for each domain, saving each one, then creating a scheduled task with all of those projects to be analyzed overnight. Just wondering if you knew of a way to automate things a bit more to save time?
            BTW I picked up HMA VPN through your aff link last weekend Doesn't seem to help with SpyGlass for me. For example, if Dogpile is timing out for 15 minutes and I turn on the VPN it doesn't re-set, it still shows a waiting period even though my IP has changed. Maybe it's be a cookie thing...

              To be honest, I have never tried scheduling anything in SpyGlass. I just analyze what I want every morning.

              As for HMA, it's not usually the best solution for SpyGlass. HMA works great for a lot of things, but the biggest problem I usually have with it is a lot of its IPs are too slow for SpyGlass. You have to sort through about 10-12 sometimes to find one fast enough to run SpyGlass efficiently.

              File - New Project Expert options - create numerous projects
              create projects based on the following urls.
              paste in your list
              then next through until it starts doing the basic check

              There may be another way but then I just leave it until its done doing the checks of all the domains - comeback and save them then

              Preferences - scheduler and add the tasks , time etc to do the analyzing of the links
              Never found a way to schedule in Spyglass until you had saved projects but the create numerous projects makes that a minimal task

              One extra tip - make sure to close all prexisting domains before you start the process so that you can use save all projects.

              If you set it up to run overnight when you wake up then you have the links all analyzed. grat time saver.

    What I mostly do myself is fill in the domain in Ahrefs, export the back links, import in Scrapebox for a pagerank check and then I check the ones with the highest pagerank. Often works even faster.

    The reason is that Ahrefs shows 2400 links for my SEO site while Spyglass only shows 100-150 links in total so I'm afraid Spyglass is missing out on a ton of links, and not just low quality links. Just noticed that as I don't use Spyglass too often.

    The Thing is you need to make sure the pr is real before buying and it is only good for pr 1 to 3 domains. It uses godaddy auctions to buy them. Otherwise this is how I get all of my pr domains and works great.
