Google Site Policy and SEO, are they related?

Hi guys,
I wonder if I can draw on someone's SEO wisdom...
I had a site recently banned by Google adwords but then contacted them to resolve the issue. Thankfully, the violation was resolved and now the site is back on Ads and getting clicks.

What I'd like to know is that will my site's SEO improve as a result of now meeting Google's site policy? My domain is an exact match domain that has been online now for a year. In this period, I have never been able to find it in the search engines (even before all the Panda update and so forth).

Do you think that now my site has a chance to increase it's SEO standing as a result of approval.

Thanks for your help

Jerry

  • Jerry,

Having your website conform to Google’s policies is always a plus but it is not a guarantee that it will show up in search. Have you done any onsite/offsite SEO tasks? If not, this is most likely why its not appearing in SERP’s. I have seen websites that blatantly violate Google’s terms and still rank well and others that violate nothing and don’t rank at all (because they didn’t try to).

Have you ever done any SEO before? If not check this out,

    Hope that helps,

In order to get your site ranking well in the SERPs, you have to have good on page optimization, and build high quality backlinks to your site.
