How Google does PR?

Ok I understand that they update their PR like 4 times a year or so.

But this is my question. Y is it in the middle of their PR updates do I occasionally get a no page rank to a 0 within a couple of weeks.

This has been happening through out the past 4 months. Has anyone else had this happen.

  • Generally pagerank updates, and then nothing for several months. Much of it is a mystery, and sometimes you do see odd things, but I don't think your situation is easily explainable.
  • A large factor in PR is.. dum dum dum.. other sites that link to you.

    So if a site with a PR of 5 links to you, it's sending you some of that PR juice.. now if 2 sites with a PR of 5 link to you.. you can expect to see a PR of 4 on your site, and so on.
