Changeable Content On My Homepage

Hi,

I have a static html homepage that 80% of the content stays the same. Under my 80% of content I also pull content from certain categories from my blog showing our latest projects that we have completed. The blog content on my homepage has images and writing. I was wondering if this will have a negative impact on seo and rankings if I keep adding and changing this content. I will always make sure that the homepage content is optimised with the correct keyword density using IBP every time I upload a new blog post. My site is a business site and not solely a blog.

Will Google penalise me for constantly changing the content on my homepage, even though it should know it's getting pulled from my blog?

Thanks in advance.

Yes changing text/links on a page can mess with SERP positions.

I have pulled content from my blog to try and decrease my bounce rate. Google give conflicting info as they say to make your site for real people, but penalise you for having quality fresh content. Stupid

It's not penalizing you. If you had a few articles on the home page talking about a specific subject you will rank better for those terms- if the blog changes and you have articles that discuss something else, your serp positions may change when the site is crawled next based upon what content, keywords, the algo sees relevant.

If you don't change direction, you'll end up where you're going.

To be honest the largest impact would be constantly changing links. Like Ashera said above, it's not a penalty, it's the text/links constantly changing.

the articles i have only have part of the article on the homepage and they are all about the same subject and same keyword. If they are on the same subject then surely this is a good thing. the whole site is about wood flooring and floor sanding.
My site is amflooring-uk.co.uk if you fancy having a look. The articles are under latest projects
