Best Tool for Serps and Indexing

Does any one have a suggestion for a good tool for monitoring serps and indexing for my sites ? I'd like to find an online service so I don't have to deal with the proxy issues running a client app.

I'm hoping to find something that searches both Bing and Google and can provide daily or weekly reports on multiple URLS and keywords.

  • I use this site to track my MFA sites. It emails a report to me every night based on my keywords.

    • I checked out Microsites. I like the interface and the pricing for services. I setup a trial account but I'm finding they are not locating all the serps that I can verify manually in the first 4-5 pages of Google and Bing.

Have you found this as well or do the results improve after a couple days ?

  • Stig, I wouldn't worry about indexing your sites at all. Especially if you're using wordpress. Every time you make a post, wordpress pings the post to a number of sources.

Google will find you sooner or later.... And most likely sooner. It used to take weeks to get indexed by Google. Now, I have sites that are indexed within a day.

As for best serps tool. Your best bet is to either go the "tiered link building" way or the "high pr" route. Just so you know, Google has recently become better at nullifying tiered link building. So I would probably go for high PR Domains.

For tiered link building ----> Magic Submitter

For High Pr Domains -----> Pr Power Shot

    • Yeah, but I'm interested in tracking those results from week to week. I'm testing several different link building strategies so it's important to know when a page gets indexed and track it's up as downs as I work on back links.

Not so sure about what you said with regard to Google. I'm still having very good success rolling out a new site ( with new domain ), running a press release or two, building some back links with quality content on web2.0s then blasting those with more back links.

It's been taking on average about 10 days before pages on new sites start to appear in the top 5-10 pages, then they walk up slowly from there depending on what I do. For long tail keywords I'm landing on the first couple pages of Google in less then 2 weeks.

I'm rolling out more sites than I used to so I'm looking for tools that make tracking less labor intensive. I'm trying to identify the most cost effective link building to get pages indexed and ranked.

I'm sure some, or many, of these will get slapped down, rightly or wrongly. But that just makes it all the more important to conserve dollars and time on each.
  • Check out the robust free version of Rank Checker Ace to track your serp rankings. We use them and love them.

    • Thanks Matt. I like simple clean sites like that.
  • After I publish my content I push it out to all of the social networks like facebook, twitter, stumbleupon, digg, etc. Google crawls these sites every day continuously looking for fresh content and backlinks. Plus I have an updated ping list as well. That's usually enough to get my blog posts indexed within 24 hours.

  • Hi stig!

If you want to get your sites to be indexed faster you can submit your urls with backlinks in linkpipeline.com and seolinkmonster.com. These are paid applications that are surely worth of your money.

The good thing about this indexing source is that people without much knowledge in SEO can use it.

    Hope this helps.
