Hi all,

I'm looking for some advice. In light of all the recent Google changes I'm wondering what seo processes people are using and seeing good results on?

I am about to start a number of new campaigns for lead gen sites and would love to hear some feedback in advance.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

The same one that all the successful white hat marketers have been using for years.

    - Provide unique and high quality content that won't produce a bounce rate. This includes staying away from spun content or piss poor writing that's going to produce a bounce.
    - Having dynamic content such as a Content Management System or a Blog where that said unique content is constantly being changed helps as well.
    - Proper on page SEO will include: Make sure your Meta information is accurate, make sure your title has your main keyword in it, at least include 1 H1 tag with your main keyword in it and have an adequate amount of content on your page with your main keyword thrown in a few times. Stay away from the ridiculous "percent" rule. Some people think you HAVE to have a keyword in a certain percent to rank higher than others. Also, it doesn't hurt to put some LSI Keywords mixed in with your content as well as long as it flows well.
    - Proper off page SEO will include: Relevant backlinks from websites in your niche, backlinks from places that aren't currently selling links or giving TONS of other websites a backlink, not spamming your site over a bunch of forums, not spinning a bunch of articles and spamming directories, getting social media outreach such as Twitter and Facebook and building up an army of diverse Web 2.0 properties. Yeah, it's a pain if you do it right but it's so worth it. I believe there is still some weight to blog commenting and wiki pages but they have to be done carefully. I foresee sites utilizing methods to spam blogs and wiki pages getting hit hard soon.

Really, just follow the basics. Everyone's always looking for a "new" strategy after they get hit for doing something they shouldn't have been doing. Just provide people with unique and high quality dynamic content and Google will give you some love.

      Hi Novice,

I agree with Corey. It's putting the "Do unto others...." into action. Give people what they really want. Think what you'd like if you were your customer. Of course you have to let Google know what your pages are about, etc. but just try to make your website, blog, squeeze page or whatever helpful and with people's best interests in mind first. The money will come. Best of luck,

      Jerry

One simple quote: " Quality and not just Quantity "
SO what does that mean ?
Get your site - informative, interactive and customer engaged platform which gives simply what your customers are looking for, are they interactive enough that they would recommend and share your site with others and therefore, will spend some time exploring your site.

Now once your site quality is done? Think what Mcdonald's, Nando's or KFC does. They do offline marketing as much as they could do online marketing.

    Keep your options open:
    a) Make plans for offline marketing:
    i) i.e. word of mouth, flyers, leaflets, posters and many more.
    b) Online marketing:
Think people like even ebay gives advert online so, what they do they have video scribe animation and many others.

So, think of online marketing ( Leave google out ) For the time being and think what other ways do you have for advert.

Hope this little but small tips for you but for most of my clients these techniques work in south east England works well.

    Kind regards,
    Swrajit

I think you should be very much clear about some key things before starting the campaign.
Know your audience. Who is your targeted people? Subscription to your blog through Google+, Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter for your potential customers. The way of encouraging interaction.

I think all seo process works in past do still work the same way except few things to be aware:
    1. Donot get backlink from a deindexed or penalized website, one best way to know penalized website is how many web pages indexed if thats a web /article directory and having only 1000 pages in index indicates that hit hard already by any of the big G updates.
    2. You shall make sure that your anchor text profile looks natural with variation of hyperlinks, a must post penguin.
    3. Stay away from any kind of paid links even if they are high pr.
