What if keyword/keyphrase shows NO traffic?

Newbie here, so this might be a dumb question - I'm trying to find keywords and keyphrases at low CPC. I've come across a few that show no local or global searches at all. As I understand it, this means that no one ever searches using those keywords or keyphrases. So if I start an adsense campaign using those keywords or keyphrases, no one will ever find my adsense ad? Is there a threshold amount of search traffic that you want for an adsense campaign?

    Not really dumb. Something low keyword can be high traffic. Just set your site by low global search keywords.

    Sounds like your talking about Adwords (PPC)?

    Yes - Google keyword tool shows "-" for global monthly searches and the same for local monthly searches. On Niche Finder, it shows "No Data" for both.

      Correct, they won't be even eligible for display due to low search value.
      If there ain't lots of searches, I would just start from targeting some solid general keywords (around 1k+).
      After some time, you would see statistics in your "Dimensions" tab. Then pick up and add some successful variations and longer phrases you see, that are directly related to LP and result in high click-through.
