When you create different accounts on web 2.0 properties using unique IP's, do you have to use those same IP's when you post content on those web 2.0 properties also? Or do you only have create those accounts using different IP's?

Thanks in advance,

Jay

    • Thanks for providing the link. But what if those IP's are already affected ones? What to do under those circumstances??

  • I think HMA VPN Pro can help you to get variety of hundreds /thousands of proxy ips. If you are in SEO and want to post more than one account it is always good to use proxies.

    • Hide My Ass is the best when it comes to proxies. You can select proxies from different parts of the world. It is really helpful and will help you do Link building safely and properly.
  • I think ip uniqueness does not matter only text uniqueness matters...
  • it's best to use the same ip's for posting but not necessary
  • Whenever we are exchanging links with other website we should always check the IP address of the websites because sometimes different websites have same IP adress and if we add link on that website then it is counted as one link only.So it is very important to check the IP.
  • Nope, that's not necessary at all.

Many ISP companies allocate you to a different IP each time you connect, I know mine does, so it's not unusual for 1 person to be posting with 10+ ip's, even though they're always posting from the same PC.
  • I don't think it's a huge issue. If you were creating multiple accounts from one IP that would probably flag you. However posting from a different IP than the account creation IP won't harm you too much.
  • Using different C-class IP's do make a difference, yes. Check out how many you have with MajesticSEO and open site explorer.
  • I suggest using different shared hosting account ips.

    Works good.

    • Hosting has nothing to do with the question being asked.

You can use any IP you want to post to the Web 2.0 sites. As for account creation, it really depends on how many accounts you are creating at a time. If you are creating 10 Tumblr accounts a day, yes, you will want to use some different IPs because they will stop letting you create new accounts, and may delete the old ones.

For most Web 2.0 sites, it is against their TOS to have multiple accounts, which is why people use different IPs.

  • Yes they track the IP you sign up with. If you try to sign up with the same IP a bunch of times you will get locked out. I use the same IP to create new accounts on web 2.0s all the time, and rarely run into problems as long as they aren't created back to back or several times in one day.

They probably track the IP you post with, although I don't think they really care honestly. Generally I've found that what you post has a lot more to do with whether it is taken down or not. If you post unreadable, spun crap content and they can connect your IP to 10 accounts doing the same thing, they may just shut down all 10. If you are posting readable to high quality content the chances that it gets taken down even if your IP is connected to other accounts is slim. These sites aren't in the business of throwing away good content, so if you give them that then you're usually fine.
