How many of your expired domain retain PR

Hello friends

A question to guys who buy expired domains. Do all of your expired domains retain PR after pr update or its luck?

If they retain then what is your method to setup blog on expired domain.
DO you delete all the earlier post or redirect the old posts to homepage??

Do you buy expired domains related to your niche or random???

Any good resource for building private Blog network

    About 75% of the expired domains that I have bought have retained their page rank.

    Its not luck. You have to do enough research before you buy a domain. Look at all the pages that link back to the domain (using link:domainname.ext on google). See the placement of individual links. If the links are part of a set of links (eg blogroll links) then its possible that these links may disappear soon. However, if the links are embedded in the article, then the links may stay.

    Apart from Page rank, pay attention to the SEOmoz domain authority, SEMrush rank and Alexa rating for the domains. I use domcop.com to find my expired domains.
