I have an old website with tens of articles and many of those articles rank well with their 2-3 word keywords (on first page of Google in my country). I'm adding now new articles and Google index those pages in minutes but they are normally on page 3-5 of Google with their keywords. Is there any safety way to get those new articles rank better and in 1-2 months? I know backlinks to new pages could help but I have no time to build backlinks from forums etc, and I don't like that kind of "grey hat seo" things.

  • Sorry, but the answer is backlinks. As long as backlinks are a big part of the ranking algorithm, the answer will always be backlinks.

    Why would you want to build links from forums though? That's a pretty low yield strategy. For most moderately competitive keywords you'll get on page 1 with a a handful of really good links from high PR pages with low outbound link counts.

  • Promote your articles through Social Media. It is a great way to promote your articles.
  • Interlink the pages. Link your new pages to the home page . Might help, if you have page rank on the home page
  • Use fiverr.com - just make sure you get the natural and diverse linkbuilding packages.
  • Updating your contents or articles on a regular basis might help you to achieve your target.
