I was shocked to discover that my site has recently been demoted from PR3 to PR2. I was actually hoping for a PR4 as my site has held a 3 ranking for 2 years. This makes it all the more difficult to understand. I steadily work on improving my content and white hat SEO. The proof is in my regular high standings in the SERPs. If anything, my search positions have improved recently, which makes the ranking demotion utterly confusing.

The only thing I have neglected is reciprocal linking. constantly build backlinks but I completely gave up reciprocal linking a year ago and so my links page is dormant. I think reciprocal linking is worthless but could this have anything to do with losing my ranking?
Any advice is appreciated!
