Google Update on the 10th of December?

Hi guys,

Has anyone noticed anything weird with their traffic since the 10th of December?

Traffic to one of my sites has just dramatically dropped, and I've not really done anything to it.

Other sites are fine though :confused:

  • One of my sites though, is getting indexed like normal. Are you building backlinks?

    I noticed the challenging it gets, the more I learn.

  • I'm just going to start posting on article directories , hubpages, squidoo lens (tons of squidoo lens), and social media.

    Probably ping them.

    And Xmas is coming along, so I'm thinking about investing into one big effing private blog network FOR ME only. Where is that Mike Anthony guy at? That's my go to guy lol.

    And Silo structure ? I'll def go to Yukon for that one.

    And someone that speaks with no filter but on point? Paulgl and Mikefriedman. Just saying =D.

  • Guys,It's high time you don't depend completely on google for traffic.There is an update everymonth which even hurts quality sites.

    I don't see google PR updated on Dec 10
  • No effect on any of my sites. Perhaps it was a minor update.
  • Yeah there was a Panda Update which rolled out on Dec 10th.
  • Hay there is lots of thinking but Google is not updated in the magic day 12-12-12. Don't worry for any traffic.

    • What? Don't worry for any traffic? Isn't that the whole reason why we do this business? To get traffic? Traffic which leads to conversions = $$$?$???
  • One of my sites totally tanked 11/12/12 - not sure why, was slowly building good quality links to the site (lots of inner pages) lots of mixed anchors / branded anchor / straight urls. Text link ads only on some pages. Site was 9 months old. All pages demoted out of top 100 (but all still indexed). Net result - from over 200 uniques per day to zilch.

    • My main site got de indexed altogether. Rest of sites doing OK but this update definitely hurt me. Not gonna give up, but taking a week off then re-assess.
